BACKGROUND

In 2018, Japanese American Memorial Pilgrimages was awarded the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant (NPS) to produce a documentary series with the goal of educating people about the WWII Japanese American incarceration camps. Honored to preserve this piece of history, Slager Fuj captured these stories focused on survivors and the intergenerational trauma that continues to be felt.
